Producer of quality films ‘Mandakini, Alemari, Bhagirathi’ BK Srinivas a good orator says success is not permanent.

Coming up in life as counter clerk in Veeresh theatre, a hardcore fan of Dr Rajakumar BK Srinivas scaled heights and shown magnanimity. He is seeing the commitment missing among the directors of today. Srinivas known for comparisons in his address stated that producer is like Lakshmi, director is Saraswathi, artists are like Ishwara, Anjaneya, Ganesha, Parvathi, PRO is like Narada, Media is ‘Narayana’. Audience are like ‘Brahma’.

When Alemari was started it was Rs.2 crores budget. When it was completed it was Rs.4 crore cinema! The package system is spoiling the industry. Before the paste on the poster of a cinema the film is vacated from theatres – that is the strength of a director today. Lakshmi and Saraswathi are not doing well today.

A work for so and so only should be done. Success is like bubble. Everyone cannot be like SS Rajamouli. Most of the directors getting money in their hand forget their work. The creativity and hard work takes back seat. From head weight they lose opportunities. Srinivas feels that belief he had in directors was wrong. As a producer I am aware that in what area I should show my interference stated BK Srinivas in his strongly worded address.
